At noon today, the former deputy of PD Gerti Bogdani passed away. At the age of 44, in a completely unexpected way, he was cut in the middle of all the dreams woven for tomorrow.

Sad news for colleagues, friends and even people who may never have known him closely... But above all, a great pain for the family. Bogdani left behind two children, Ajra and Reinarti, as well as his wife, the well-known activist Edlira Çepani.

After a long love affair that started in high school, Gerti and Edlira got married in July 2010. A big wedding with many guests, the photos of which circulated in every media.

Over two decades together, it seems that their love has only grown stronger over time.

"We have known each other since high school, we were competitors, in parallel classes. Gerti was the best in school, we could see each other from afar. He went out first, then I went out first. At a certain moment, what happened to us, we said why don't we join the team in a debate.

These were the debates we had with other schools. There we realized that if we were a team, no one else would come before us. We created it and here we are again a team!", said Edlira a few months ago while recounting the story of their love.

No further than in July of this year, she dedicates the most beautiful words to her life partner.

"The world becomes a more beautiful place every time you smile! I love you now and forever, my better half", it was written next to a photo of the couple, on the MP's 44th birthday.

About the children, Bogdani said that "when it came to them, everything he did or said he thought twice."

"They are both the driving force behind everything we do today and today's challenges. We chose to stay here and fight because we want to build a better future for them", he said in an interview 4 months ago.
