From stress to unhealthy eating, here are the daily habits that harm heart

Whether we exercise as soon as we open our eyes, look at our cell phone to check the news of the day, or do the same before bed, our habits have similarities but also important differences.

We all want to be healthy, without exception, but some of our choices, whether conscious or unconscious, can harm us and endanger our minds, and therefore our lives.

Regardless of our daily routine, one thing is certain : heart problems are common in the modern age and we should remember this and take care as much as possible.

Daily habits harmful to the heart

Sedentary lifestyle

There is no doubt that the pace of modern life is incredibly fast and many of us are under pressure to add more movement to our daily lives. However, as we all know, a sedentary lifestyle is harmful. Our heart is a muscle and it needs to move in order to function properly and stay strong.

Unhealthy food

Excess intake of saturated and trans fats, processed foods, salt and sugar increases the risk of heart disease. Give priority to fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and " good" fats .

Smoking

Smoking is known to damage blood vessels and raise blood pressure and cholesterol levels, but we don't seem to take these effects seriously. If you smoke, quitting is one of the best things you can do for your heart health.

Alcohol consumption
Alcohol is a socializing tool. However, even moderate alcohol consumption is harmful. Heavy consumption can cause high blood pressure, heart failure and stroke.

Stress

We often feel stressed and that's bad. Uncontrolled stress can raise blood pressure, increase heart rate, and contribute to unhealthy choices in our overall lifestyle. Effective stress management techniques such as meditation, yoga and deep breathing can help protect our heart.

Insufficient sleep

Social night owls do more damage to their hearts than they realize. Lack of sleep at night is a health issue, including heart-related problems. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night.

Neglect of oral hygiene

Poor oral hygiene can affect heart health. Bacteria in the oral cavity can reach the heart valves in the bloodstream, putting pressure on them and eventually causing them to rupture.
