
23 years since the night of horror in the north of Mitrovica, 10 Albanians were killed and 12 thousand were deported

Today marks exactly 23 years since the massacre that took place on the night between February 3 and 4, 2000, in the north of Mitrovica, in which case the 'Bridge Guards' killed 10 Albanians, among whom were children, women and the elderly, injuring many others, while evicting around 12 thousand Albanian residents, who were forced to move to the south of the city, leaving behind their burning houses.
KMLDNj had said that all these murders were committed in the presence of French KFOR soldiers and the international police. Otherwise, on the night between February 3 and 4, 2000, Nezir e Shqipe Voca, Niman Sejdiu, Bashkim Rrukeci, Sebiha Abrashi, Selime Berisha, Muharrem Sokoli, Nderim Ajeti, Nerimane Xhaka and Remzije Canhasi were killed.
According to witnesses, the murder operation was led by the MUP of Serbia, led by the former commander, Dragan Delibashič, Oliver Ivanović and others, while the Basic Court in Mitrovica in 2014 found Oliver Ivanović guilty of 9 years in prison for war crimes against Albanians during and after the war in Kosovo./KosovaPress
