Analyst Fatmir Sheholli remains in prison on charges of spying for Serbia

The Basic Court of Pristina has imposed a 30-day detention order on analyst Fatmir Sheholli, who is accused of the criminal offense of espionage in favor of the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA).

The news was confirmed to Klankosova.tv by court spokesperson Mirlinda Gashi, who announced that the measure was imposed after the hearing held this Friday, at the request of the Special Prosecution of Kosovo.

"Yes, a 30-day detention order has been issued against the same person," said Gashi.

Sheholli was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of having been recruited by the Serbian Intelligence Service and acting under the orders of BIA official Bojan Dimic.

According to the Prosecution's file, Sheholli is suspected of having collected and transmitted to the BIA information regarding the allegedly occupied properties of the Serbian community in Kosovo, through various telephone communications.

Also, according to the Oath for Justice, the Prosecution states that on September 26, 2025, in North Mitrovica, Sheholli received audio materials and transcripts of conversations of officials of the Ministry for Communities and Returns, which are suspected of being compromising. He is also suspected of having accepted a sum of money as a reward for their publication in online media.

The prosecution alleges that, with these actions, Fatmir Sheholli acted intentionally and knowingly in aid of the BIA, implementing their instructions, and thus violated the security and legal order of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the integrity of its institutions and citizens.
