"Singer Adelina Ismaili received a lot of money from Kurti", Haki Abazi: Here's how it influenced the elections

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Haki Abazi, now out of Vetëvendosje, has accused his former party of using public funds to intervene in local elections, influencing citizens' votes.
He revealed in "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli, on A2 CNN, that the famous singer Adelina Ismaili has received thousands of euros from the acting Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, who is running in the elections as a Vetëvendosje candidate in Pristina.
"Politics is at the level of manipulation and vote orientation. Otherwise, Çeku was a minister in the Kurti government, he has been from Prizren all his life and has presented himself as a candidate for mayor in Pristina for the idea of capitalizing the orchestration and form of spending the budget of the Ministry of Culture without control. For example, we have a presentation of a famous singer here like Adelina Ismaili, who on the last pre-election night, since she had received extraordinary subsidies from the Ministry of Culture, exerts her influence on people to vote for the former Minister of Culture as a candidate. Here I am not saying that it is outside the rules of the game, but you understand that there is no connection between voters and the program and quality of the candidate," said Haki Abazi in "Off the Record" by Andrea Danglli, on A2 CNN.
Faced with the fact that these trends with singers, actors and influencers embracing a political party are also known in the United States of America, Abazi said that Kosovo's budget cannot be compared to America's and that he did not want to violate the integrity of public figures with this statement.
"No one is subservient there in terms of the electoral campaign because they receive tenders where, as far as I know, a family member there is close," he continued.
