Kosovo on June 13 signed a defense cooperation agreement with the US

This year, Kosovo will once again host the largest American military exercise in Europe, planned and organized by the United States Army for Europe and Africa – Defender Europe 2025, while on June 13, the framework agreement for defense cooperation with the US will be signed.
This was stated by the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, while emphasizing that this year Kosovo has been selected as the country where the United States of America will establish the command of its division, from which all operations to be carried out in the Balkan region will be led.
At the General Council meeting, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, announced that this is the third time that Kosovo is hosting such a military exercise on its territory, where over a thousand Kosovo Security Forces soldiers will be engaged inside and outside our country.
Among other things, Kurti indicated that on June 13th, the framework agreement for defense cooperation between the two thousand twenty-five and two thousand thirty will be signed in Washington, between the Kosovo Minister of Defense and a representative of the US defense.
Kurti said that in order to make substantive steps towards NATO membership, special investments have been made in the army. He said that during his mandate, the number of soldiers has doubled, the budget has tripled, training abroad has quadrupled, and the purchase of weapons and ammunition has increased a hundredfold.
