Kosovo after the runoff: LDK retains Pristina, PDK Prizren, VV wins Mitrovica

The second round of local elections has ended, with the Central Election Commission completing the count in 17 of the 18 municipalities where runoffs were held on Sunday.

The counting of regular votes has been completed in Pristina, Prizren, Peja, Gjakova, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klina, Fushë Kosovë, Suhareka, Viti, Vushtrri, Rahovec, Obiliq, Junik, Mamushë and Kllokot, while the counting of all votes in Mitrovica has not yet been completed.

According to the preliminary results of the CEC, the most municipalities won by Albanian parties were the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo with seven municipalities each, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo with six municipalities, then the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo with five municipalities, the Initiative for Kosovo won one municipality, the Democratic Turkish Party of Kosovo (KDTP) won one municipality, and the Initiative of Ramiz Lladrovci won one municipality, while the Serbian List is the party with the most municipalities, a total of ten.

Municipalities won in the first round by Vetevendosje and in the runoff

In the October 12 elections, VV won without a runoff in three municipalities: Podujevo, Shtime and Kamenica, while yesterday in the runoff it won in Mitrovica, Gjilan, Fushë Kosova and Obiliq.

Before these elections, this party governed four municipalities: Podujevo, Shtime, Gjilan and Kamenica.

In the first round, the LDK won two municipalities, Istog and Lipjan.

Yesterday, in the runoff, he won in five municipalities, in Pristina, Peja, Junik, Viti and Dragash.

The PDK won Ferizaj, Skenderaj and Hani i Elezit in the first round.
In the runoff yesterday, this party won in Vushtrri, Prizren and Kaçanik.

Before these elections, this party governed 8 municipalities (these reconfirmed ones as well as Mitrovica and Skenderaj).

Municipalities won in the first round by AAK and in the runoff

AAK won only Deçan in the first round on October 12.

In yesterday's runoff, this party won in four other municipalities, in Gjakova, Klina, Rahovec and Suhareka.

This party has retained all the municipalities it governed before these elections.

Who won it from a municipality?

The Social Democratic Initiative won Malisheva in the first round, while in the second round it did not compete in any other municipality. Even in the previous elections, this party led only in this municipality.

Ramiz Lladrovci's initiative has won the municipality of Drenas.

The Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP) has won Mamusha, a municipality it led even before these elections.
