The Central Election Commission has announced the preliminary results for the second round of local elections in Kosovo.
Voting has been fully completed in all municipalities, while on the online platform, according to the head of the CEC, Kreshnik Radoniqi, two more polling stations for South Mitrovica will be updated later.
"The final results will be announced after counting the votes of the diaspora, people with special needs, and conditional votes," he said.
Regarding votes from the diaspora, he said he expects them to arrive in Kosovo next week and the counting of all votes to be completed a week later.
According to the results for the runoff round, LDK won in five municipalities, LVV and AAK in four each, and PDK in three municipalities.
“After more than two decades, LVV made a big difference with Valon Prebreza in Fushë Kosovë. Valon will bring democracy, dignity and equality for all.”
The LVV chairman also spoke about the increase in the number of municipalities the party has won during the local elections in Kosovo:
"In 2013, we participated in the competition for the first time and won only one municipality. In 2017, we won three municipalities, in 2021, we won 4 municipalities, and today we have won in 7 municipalities."
