The scandal with the food of the soldiers, Osmani demands a report from the commander of the KSF

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has followed with concern the situation created in recent days regarding the food supply of the KSF soldiers, so she immediately requested a detailed report from the KSF commander.
Bekim Kupina, adviser to President Osmani, confirmed this for the Telegraph. He also announced that he has invited the commander of the KSF and the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, to a meeting.
"He also invited to the meeting to discuss this issue in more detail the commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Jashari, but also the Minister of Defense Macedonia. The president engages, within her competences, in order to solve the emerging problem that inevitably affects the operationality of the KSF, its development process, its image and institutional integrity", said Kupina.
He also stated that President Osmani has long made the proposal for a state program for the multidimensional support of the KSF, which directly affects the increase of its socio-economic well-being, as well as their motive.
However, this program needs budgetary support in the law on the budget of the Republic of Kosovo, which is proposed by the Government and approved by the Parliament", he said.
Kupina said that the program includes several points:
The 7-point program includes these elements:
1. Payment of increases in wages for dangerousness.
2. Custody and overtime pay.
3. Payment of per diems for KSF members during education and training abroad (during the entire period of education or training and not just for 1 month).
5. Functionalization of the military hospital with secondary and tertiary medical services.
6. Improving the quality of food with the highest health and sanitary standards.
7. Providing affordable housing for military personnel and their families.
8. Creation of the credit fund for the military.
Kupina stated that the realization of this support program also affects the strengthening of the operationality of the KSF, in the time of transition and its development in order to fulfill its legal duties and its constitutional mission for the protection of territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
"During the following days, after the next meetings with the relevant institutions, we will be able to give you more details regarding this matter", he emphasized.
Otherwise, the issue of food supply in the KSF has been one of the main topics of discussion in Kosovo in recent days.
The Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that all barracks of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) are functional and a variety of food is being served.
While, according to the officials of this ministry, the only problem is the small number of technical staff, adding that this will be fixed as soon as the competition for the admission of the own professional staff is closed, this competition has been opened and every procedure will be completed on time of 45 days.
