By-elections/ Berisha not a word in the DP group about the dramatic opposition result: We are being deprived of our right in parliament

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in his open speech before the Democratic MPs, did not comment on the extremely disappointing result that the opposition-supported candidates achieved in this Sunday's local by-elections.
But Berisha preferred to accuse the majority of depriving the opposition of its constitutional right to establish parliamentary investigative committees.
"We are gathering today in this extraordinary or extraordinary meeting of the parliamentary group due to an extraordinary situation in which we find ourselves due to the unstoppable determination of the narco-government to suppress the opposition and oppositionism with all its potential."
To transform it into a tool or an instrument worthless for any function for the citizens, the protection of their interests, to silence it, de facto to politically annihilate it as a parliamentary political force.
We are witnesses that with the last session, 10 parliamentary sessions were held in which the government, in 9 of them, denied the opposition any debate on any issue that came to parliament, starting from the government program, the approval of the Council of Ministers, ending with the approval of the budget and everything else.
You are witnesses because in 10 sessions there was only one session with debate and this was the session where the justice institutions were discussed.
Laws, draft decisions, normative acts have been passed, and in none of them has the opposition been allowed to debate, speak, present opinions, or defend the interests of its constituents who have voted against a government like never before in the 33-year history of the pluralist parliament.
It never happened because it can't happen as a rule.
10 parliamentary sessions where only in one did the opposition have the opportunity to express itself.
And, let's not forget, 10 parliamentary sessions preceded by hundreds of committee meetings, in which the opposition participated in the most serious way. In which the opposition was committed with the greatest seriousness to presenting objections, suggestions, proposals to protect the interests of citizens.
So, with all this very serious work that you have done in the parliamentary committees - and much more serious than the work of others - but when it comes to the committees in the parliament hall, Edi Rama orders the microphones to be turned off for the opposition.
With all the extraordinary control it has over the media, it controls more, more easily the news that comes out of parliamentary committees, but the return or closure of the activity in committees, a very serious activity of opposition MPs, results in the annihilation of their right to debate on the laws, on the projects, on the decisions that have been approved in those committees. That have been rejected in those committees.
There have been 10 sessions in which, like never before in history, ministers are not allowed to attend interpellations.
There have been 10 sessions where every motion with debate has been rejected. These are rights sanctioned in the Constitution for the opposition.
There have been 10 sessions, all opposition requests for parliamentary investigative committees have been unconstitutionally rejected.
So, the opposition is deprived not only of the right, but of its fundamental duty to control the executive, to control the implementation of the law.
I can't do this.
In general, ministers not only refuse interpellations, but also refuse to appear before committees.
And they bring to parliament those who can never be, deputy ministers or directors.
"In parliament, MPs are denied the most basic rights that the Constitution and the rules of parliament guarantee them," Berisha said, among other things, at the meeting of the DP group.
