Democrat Ilir Alimehmeti has spoken again about the possibility of running for mayor of Tirana in the by-elections, facing socialist Ogerta Manastirliu.
Alimehmeti has hinted that he will not be the DP candidate for Tirana, arguing that time is insufficient.
Recalling his candidacy in the 2022 Primary process, he says that back then the term of office and the preparation time were complete, while now the situation is different, as there will be partial elections and an incomplete term.
"I competed in 2022 in the Primary for a process that was in 2023. Even though the term of office was complete, even though the preparation time was complete, at these moments we are in different conditions," he said in Log., on News24.
