Accused of connection with the crime, Jurgis Çyrbja testifies tomorrow

For the first time since the arrest, the Special Prosecutors will take the testimony of the former socialist deputy Jurgis Çyrbja, who is suspected of election corruption, trading state secrets and supporting the perpetrator of the crime.

The former MP is expected to give explanations on Friday at 11.00 in the presence of the defense lawyer and then the special prosecutors will call and interrogate all the persons who have emerged from the communications of Jurgis Çyrbjas and other persons identified until now.

From the breakdown of the conversations in SKY ECC, it was discovered that in favor of votes to be elected as a member of parliament in the Durrës district in the 2021 elections, Çyrbja informed crime bosses about police operations so that they would not be arrested. Meanwhile, Jurgis Çyrbja has been charged by SPAK for abuse of office related to 4 property practices while managing the Durrës mortgage.

The former mayor of Rrashbull municipality, Hysen Gashi, as well as former officials Ervis Mustafa, Qamil Lila, Edlira Çollaku and Elda Doçi have also been charged in this case.
