"EU membership, closer than ever", Rama at the Ambassadors' Conference: We are promoters of peace and stability in this neighborhood of Europe

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that Albania is closer than ever to membership in the European Union, describing this as a historic objective for the country. The declaration was made during the 3-day Conference of Albanian Ambassadors around the world, where the role of diplomacy and the successes achieved in the international arena were discussed at length.

"Albania is a small country, but with admirable successes. Its credits in the international arena are higher than ever before, " Rama said in his speech. He praised the work of the Albanian diplomatic corps, emphasizing that the foreign service should become a reference point for talents who wish to serve the country.

A concrete example, according to the Prime Minister, is the work done at the Albanian embassy in Brussels at the European Commission. He singled out the new approach and cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers of state and Ambassador Ferit Hoxha as a positive model. “A stable core has been created, one of the most beautiful investments in our diplomatic service over the years, ” said Rama.

Following his speech, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, calling on diplomatic representatives to be the most determined promoters of these values. “We have an obligation to maintain relations with the Albanian factor and to convey our message as a nation committed to a European future and partnership with the democratic world ,” he said.
