Balluku, defendant of SPAK/Spiropali: We have made the decision as a majority to fight impunity at all levels. Everyone is responsible before the law

Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali stated today that the majority is determined to fight impunity at all levels.

Asked about the issues under investigation by the judiciary, during the meeting of the Committee on Europe and Foreign Affairs, Spiropali said that there are no untouchables in Albania.

"Under no circumstances, and for no reason, will you find us attacking prosecutors or judges, commenting on specific issues, or on matters of justice."

"This is something that has divided us since we undertook the justice reform, since we decided that political power must remove its grip on the power of justice, and when we made the historic decision as a majority to fight impunity wherever it appears, at all levels," said Spiropali.

She further added that this is the big difference between us and an old policy that continues to make criminal charges against opponents the policy of the day.

"We do not do this. Everyone is responsible before the law, everyone, everyone is responsible before their own face and before their own electorate," said Minister Spiropali.
