Basha tells about his student life, his passion for law and international
The chairman of the Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, gave a special interview on the show "Fit" on Neës24, where he shared memories of his student life in Holland. Basha said that studies at the Faculty of Law were a choice he was passionate about, where apart from the compulsory subjects, he was focused on the field of International Law.

He emphasized that his university experience was a beautiful period, enriched with knowledge on international relations and Albania's role in this field, mentioning major acts such as the incident of the Corfu Channel and the act of independence of Kosovo.

Basha added that student life, apart from the academic aspects, was also a very beautiful period of his life.

"The subjects I chose to study at the Faculty of Law were subjects for which I had a passion. There were also subjects that were compulsory, but I had no passion for them. Lawyers or law students know what I'm talking about. Let's talk about obligations. But in general, I remember my studies as a very beautiful time. Even from the side of the University, i.e. what I studied, it was as I said a whole world opened up before me, the world of Public International Law, relations between states, how this impacted people's lives, people's destinies, history of these relations where Albania has a special role in the doctrine of International Law. From the incident of the Corfu channel, which is one of the first acts of jurisprudence, of the International Court of The Hague, to the act of independence of Kosovo and the advisory opinion of the International Court of The Hague. Both are major acts in the doctrine of international jurisprudence, international public law. As you can see I have a passion, I partially returned to this passion last year when I was appointed reporter on the issue of confiscation, the legality of confiscating frozen Russian assets to make them available to Ukraine. So, the professional side, that is, the substantive side of studies, I remember as a very, very beautiful time. But I would be untrue if I didn't tell you that student life was so beautiful, in some aspects even more beautiful." - said Basha.
