After SPAK sent the file for trial yesterday, Edi Rama announced today at the SP Assembly that new elections would be held in Tirana, as the capital, according to him, should not remain "headless" and asked the Municipal Council not to prolong the process of impeaching Veliaj for more than 7 days.

He also announced the SP's candidacy, which will be Ogerta Manastirliu, while the name she will face from the opposition is not yet known.

Invited to the show "The Unexposed", analyst Andi Bushati said that the opposition should not enter these elections, as the procedure for dismissing Veliaj would be illegal.

The analyst added that Manastirliu wins the elections, and even humorously said that even the artificial intelligence "minister", Diella, would win the elections if she were a candidate, as long as she runs for the SP.

"If there is a strong opposition, it does not enter the elections. If the dismissal procedure is illegal, the opposition should not enter the elections. They are stupid as a bull and jump by the horns when they are waved a red cloth. The thing is, can Veliaj be dismissed? Rama himself says when he is absent for 6 months, but absent with reason it is not that easy and we will also convene the Parliament, he says.
