"Also energy meters with AI", Rama talks about energy meters: We will start work within 2026

Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that the government will begin installing smart electricity meters for all consumers within the next year, a project that is expected to be completed within this mandate.

According to him, the new smart metering system will significantly reduce technical losses in the network and improve the electricity billing process.

" Today we have this innovation, while within 2026 we will have the start of work on energy meters by switching to the smart meter system. Within this mandate we will also conclude this process, which will reduce the level of technical losses in the network and increase the quality of billing for each consumer ," declared Rama during his speech at the presentation of the "OSHEE Charge" project regarding the charging of electric vehicles.
