Ermal Hasimja withdraws from running for Tirana: Supports Florian Binaj

Ermal Hasimja has withdrawn from his candidacy for the Tirana mayoralty. Hasimaj said on the "Opinion" show that now that Binaj has the support of political parties, it makes no sense for him to continue running as an independent candidate.

Further, Hasimja emphasized that she will support Binaj during the campaign for the November 9 elections.

"It is clear that the race does not make sense to me. I entered a process, which was clear that possible candidacies would be considered. The most normal thing that could happen is that the parties that entered these talks, choose a candidate, based on their legitimate right, based on their criteria, and of course a candidate will be chosen and the other candidates have nothing to say, the only thing they can do is to then support the selected candidate, as long as he meets the conditions. I fully support Mr. Binjan, with great pleasure and I hope that he will bring some kind of innovation to this depressive environment .
