Voting papers from the diaspora, Celibashi: They are burned even if they arrive

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, states that ballots from the diaspora that arrived late will not be included in the process.

Invited to the "Opinion" show on TV Klan, when asked about the fact that if the number of ballots received late is greater than those received on time, will they be considered valid, Celibashi stated that these ballots will be invalid.

Ilirjan Celibashi:  The envelopes will be administered at the CEC according to a certain security protocol, with transparency, with supervision of parties, organizations, media, cameras, and the process of counting these ballots will begin when the counting and evaluation process begins here in Albania.

Redi Shehu:  If the number of ballots received late is greater than the number of those received on time, will it not be taken into consideration?

Ilirjan Celibashi:  If the first stamp that receives postal deliveries in the territory of the Republic of Albania, according to all international protocols, bears the date May 11, 7:01 p.m., it is not included in this process. The electoral code has determined it.

Blendi Fevziu:  Does Albania surrender part of its national security with this type of voting, even with envelopes, because we could have 600-700 thousand immigrants in Greece. What happens if at some point in the conflict with Greece that we have exposed, the Greek secret service takes the envelopes and throws them in the trash?
