Ajola Xoxe has reacted for the first time regarding the accusations made against her by the Special Prosecution Office, charges for which she is currently under the security measure "Compulsory Appearance".
In a post on social media, Xoxa states that her reaction was delayed because she initially learned everything from the media and then had to provide real financial figures to prove the allegations false.
"Forcibly taken hostage in this media sword and knife dance and confirmed as a hostage by a group of prejudiced people, I was forced to belatedly begin work on identifying the real financial figures related to me in that indictment filled with untruths," she writes.
Xoxa adds that today she will begin clarifying everything related to the accusations against her, adding that the figures on her online purchases are not true.
"I am now ready, starting today and in the coming days, to explain in minute detail, narrative and financial, and with full public or legal responsibility, this entire violent bluff, which I will confront all the way to the Strasbourg Court with my complete innocence," she declared.
The wife of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has explained that her purchases of clothing, cosmetic and parapharmaceutical products, accessories, etc. (not including books, digital tariffs, subscriptions), cost 75,025 Euros in total for a 10-year period, for the period 1.1.2015 - 1.1.2025.
She continues that although this figure may seem high, fortunately she comes from a family with good income and property.

Punoj edhe si kuratore apo drejtoreshë artistike e vizuale (dhe këtë gjithashtu do ta detajoj imtësisht shumë shpejt). Unë nuk njoh zbavitje tjetër përveç punës sime.
Unë vij nga dy familje të njohura shqiptare. Nga familja e babait tim, kemi trashëguar toka, troje, ndërtesa, shtëpi, etj., si në Tiranë, ashtu edhe jashtë saj. Të tëra të ditura kohë e kohë më parë se sa unë të rritesha e të bëhesha bashkëshortja e Erionit. Dikur pedagog, gazetar dhe kritik arti, pas ’90-ës im atë nisi të merrej me biznes, si shumë të tjerë. Unë kam patur fatin të rritem në një ndër ato familje shqiptare të tranzicionit me mundësi shumë të mira financiare, cka mundësoi edhe mbështetjen e studimeve të mia të larta për drejtësi, master e doktorature, në Paris e Romë.
Gjithashtu, vec mundësive shumë të mira financiare të prindërve të mi, unë kam punuar që fare e re në fushën e avokatisë dhe jam paguar gjithmonë shumë mirë e vazhdoj paguhem shumë mirë. Të ardhurat e mia në vite janë të deklaruara dhe publike.
