The Special Court declares incompetence for Ferzilet Hajdëri, Adnand Toçila, Diana Dedja, Bashkim Salillari and Hanza Reka, who asked for an ordinary trial and to separate the case from Vangjush Dako.
Judge Elsa Ulliri decided to transfer the file in charge of these persons to the Court of Durrës, as the competent court to examine the case against them, accused of abuse of office.
Former mayor Vangjush Dako, Fiqiri Farruku, Fatmir Ejupi and Adrian Bulku remain in GJKKO.
The former mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako is accused of having committed the criminal offense of "abuse of duty" in two cases. One case concerns the construction of a building in Durrës 11 years ago, which collapsed due to the earthquake in November 2019, and the other case concerns a tender for the construction of a promenade in 2014-2015, which has caused a damage of 18 million ALL to the state budget.
Vangjush Dako was arrested in June 2023 by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office and was released in February of this year, after SPAK failed to complete the investigations set by the court within the deadlines.
