Lala said that there were 3 reasons that led GJKKO to this decision, but added that the accounts of the former prime minister with justice have not been closed. She said that the file of thousands of pages about the former Partizani complex and the accusations against Berisha is in the GJKKO, after the completion of the investigations by SPAK.
" The entire legal situation of Berisha has changed. Before the decision of the judge that revoked the measure of arrest in Albania for Berisha. He was stuck in the apartment for 330 days. Some circumstances had changed. The entire investigation was completed. SPAK argued that Berisha should remain under arrest because he ignored the obligation to appear... In 11 months, Berisha did not violate house arrest. Second, the investigations were not continuing because the file of thousands of pages was sent to GJKKO. The file is completed and there are no more documents that SPAK should receive, or other data. Thirdly, it preceded the decision of the Constitutional Court, where it was said that the only proportional measure for Berisha was the one of mandatory appearance, while the one about the passport drew the attention of SPAK. We had an acceleration of another GJK request for the measure of house arrest, it brought out the date very quickly. We also had Strasbourg which made it onto the calendar quickly. On the basis of these GJKKO decided to revoke the security measure. But we must not forget, Berisha's account with the justice system has not been closed, he is a defendant for corruption committed in collaboration. Today, Berisha has the opportunity to continue political activity and to be at the head of the DP. SPAK has said that it will appeal after it becomes clear. There is time until it comes to complaining", said Lala.
