Investigations for the May 11 elections/ The DP candidate in Durrës is summoned to SPAK
As part of the investigations into the January 11 elections, SPAK has summoned Ndrec Pjetri, candidate of the opposition coalition Democratic Party - Alliance for Greater Albania in the Durrës district.
The news was announced by Ndreca himself on his Facebook page, confirming that over the last 24 hours he and his campaign associates have been summoned by the Special Prosecution Office.
" Dear friends. In the last 24 hours, I and my associates have been summoned to the Special Prosecutor's Office SPAK, to be questioned regarding the election campaign of May 11, 2025. I was a candidate of the opposition coalition Democratic Party- Alliance for Greater Albania in Durrës and received 450 votes. The opposition is summoned to SPAK, not those who stole the elections," can be briefly summarized the story that, as always, sounds like black humor.
Instead of investigating those who "did the math" of the result, those who barely managed to garner the trust of citizens are being questioned.
The irony becomes even deeper when you remember that throughout the campaign and after it, the opposition published dozens of video denunciations, showing people from the majority buying votes or manipulating the process at polling stations.
Footage that was shared online, but which for the prosecution seems to have remained "artistic videos" without investigative interest.
In the last 24 hours, my associates and I have been summoned to the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office to be questioned regarding the May 11, 2025 election campaign.
I was a candidate for the opposition coalition Democratic Party - Alliance for Greater Albania in the Durrës district and in my first race I received 4,500 votes.
During the 30 days of the electoral campaign, I have knocked on every door and walked every alley, meeting thousands of you. My collaborators have been friends, colleagues, and family members who have believed in me and my political model.
I must say that I am not only surprised by the summons of myself and my colleagues at SPAK, but also disappointed, as I see that we, the opposition of this country, are summoned to the Prosecution Service and not our opponents who have violated the laws of this country before, during and after the election process.
"In any case, I pledge before you that on May 11, my 4,500 votes are honest and hard-earned votes, and neither I nor my family have had and have no connection to any illegality before, during, or after May 11," he writes.
