Rama's interview, journalist Medini: Intimidation and bullying, defending the failed balance sheet

Journalist Fatjona Medini has reacted on social media after yesterday's interview with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the show "Opinion". Medini was part of the panel of journalists who asked Rama questions, writing that the latter refused to answer every question, labeling the journalists as uninformed, incapable of asking questions and even questioning their right to be in that studio.
She says that the prime minister's approach has been the same: intimidating, bullying, with street language and avoiding responsibility. Medini adds that this is not spontaneous behavior, but a well-calculated strategy, built on a failed record of his governance. The journalist says that it is difficult to hold accountable serious issues like the incinerator scandal, one of the biggest failures and affairs of this government.
Post :
Over the past five years, I have had several confrontations with Prime Minister Rama on the “Opinion” show. In each case, his approach towards me and my colleagues has been the same: intimidation, bullying, vulgar language and avoidance of responsibility. Yesterday in the last show, the intensity of this behavior reached new heights. The Prime Minister refused to answer any questions, labeling us as uninformed, incapable of asking questions and even questioning our right to be in that studio.
This is not spontaneous behavior, but a well-calculated strategy, built on a failed record of his governance. It is difficult to hold accountable serious issues like the incinerator scandal, one of the biggest failures and affairs of this government.
As evidenced in this video, in October 2020, the Prime Minister promised me that he would invite me to the inauguration of the Fier incinerator in December of that year. But this inauguration has not taken place even today, four and a half years later. Because, just like in Tirana and Elbasan, there is no functional incinerator in Fier. There are only mountains of unprocessed waste, officials convicted of corruption or on the run, and tens of millions of citizens' euros stolen and wasted.
