Iran 'tooth for tooth' with Rama: Listen to the Albanians who demand your departure, don't blame Tehran...

The verbal clash between Tirana and Tehran has escalated significantly after Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements against Iran, regarding repeated accusations of cyberattacks against Albania, as well as the statement that Iran is behind the protests in our country.
The official reaction came from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei opposed the Albanian Prime Minister's statements through a post on the social network X, describing them as unfounded and politically motivated.
According to Baqaei, the accusations against Iran are being used by the Albanian government to shift attention from domestic developments and citizen dissatisfaction, including the protests taking place in Tirana and other cities in the country.
"Calm down, Mr. Prime Minister. You were the one who started this," he writes, adding that Rama should face the criticism of his citizens and not look for culprits abroad for political tensions.
Following his reaction, the Iranian diplomat emphasizes that Albanian citizens are capable of judging the political situation themselves and that the government should listen to the voices that, according to him, are being raised on the streets of Tirana.
"Calm down, Mr. Prime Minister. It was YOU, sir, who started this. So you need to face the music! It would be wiser to show some respect for the intelligence and judgment of your people, as a nation with a rich culture and proud history.
They are sharp enough to distinguish truth from falsehood. If you choose to sell your national sovereignty, that is your decision.
"You don't owe us an explanation. But when faced with the anger and criticism of your public, don't use others as scapegoats to escape accountability ," the response reads.
At the end of the statement, Baqaei also refers to the protests in Albania, citing the calls "No to corruption", "We want justice" and "Rama go ", which according to him reflect the current political climate in the country.
