Here are the facts that SPAK put before Berisha and Malltez: The former prime
New details have been revealed regarding the file with the evidence, which former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi received today for the privatization of the former "Partizani" sports complex.

Berisha has been investigated and accused by SPAK of having undertaken legal changes for the benefit of his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, enabling the latter to build the business of a company from which he benefited at least 5.4 million euros.

Berisha is accused of having exercised his influence, ordered administrative controls and other decision-making for the completion of Partizan's privatization procedures, which benefited Malltezi, his daughter's husband. The state structures, up to the ministers, have been placed in the function of Malltez by order of Berisha.

In the file, it is evident that with legal changes, Berisha changed the destination of the areas from sports to residential, which has led to construction, from which Malltezi has directly benefited millions.

Malltezi, using the power of his father-in-law, the Prime Minister, managed to privatize the Partizani complex and, in cooperation with Fatmir Bektashi, laundered the money by presenting himself as an investor in the works for the construction of at least 19 towers of the former Partizani complex.

After the Partizani Club privatization scandal, not only the procedures to facilitate and the abuses that Sali Berisha and his government did to favor Jamarbër Malltez and to make him earn many millions of euros even though he was the owner of only 113 square meters of land are not hidden. In the SPAK file, hypotheses are thrown about abuses with the surface returned to the heirs and the value that was actually paid to the State. The accusation of SPAK talks about 4400 meters of land that was state-owned and says that the son-in-law of Sali Berisha, together with the other heirs, did not pay the State an amount of 114 million new leks as the price of this land.

In connection with the investigation, SPAK, by decision of GJKKO, confirmed until the decision of the Supreme Court, has seized 25 assets of Jamarbë Malltez and Argita Malltez. It is about 6 bank accounts with a value of 250 thousand euros, 5 apartments on the street "Dëshmorët e 4 februarit" in Frosina Plaku and on the street "Mustafa Matohiti". One of the properties that has been placed under preventive seizure is the luxury villa in Gjirin e Lalzi. Percentages of shares in Homeplan, "Magnet Imo" and "Magnet & Gym" have been seized.

In addition to investigations into new evidence for this affair, the Special Prosecutor's Office is also intensively continuing the property investigation for the Berisha family. The investigation is in-depth and detailed about the origin of the assets of the entire family, not excluding the funds and real estate of the Foundation for Albanian Children, the non-governmental organization founded by Liri Berisha.
