The City Council of Fier, by unanimous vote, decided today to raise salaries, based on the decision of the Council of Ministers.
The mayor, Armando Subashi, made his monthly salary 2.9 million lek, while the three vice-mayors, Adela Hysenaj, Andius Olldashi and Eleni Gjikondaj, will be paid 2.2 million lek per month.
As for administrators of local units and directors of directorates, the increase will be 22 to 25 percent. While for the councilors themselves who "stamped" the decision, the increase will be 10%. The meeting of the municipal council was held a few days ago without the presence of the media.
From this increase, 817 service employees, such as drivers, storekeepers, sanitary workers, were excluded, who will continue to receive the minimum wage.
