"We had an internal conflict"/ Bardhi after re-election as group leader: Berisha appointed him, I didn't ask him! I have no comment on Leskaj

The head of the DP Parliamentary Group was asked on the "Now" show with Erla Mëhilli regarding his re-election as leader of this group. Bardhi stated that positions and functions are not privileges, but responsibilities that are assigned.

Bardhi emphasized that it was Sali Berisha's decision to propose his name, while emphasizing that he will perform his duty to the best of his ability.

"I will give 100 percent of my energy, I thank Sali Berisha and the DP group. I have not asked for anything, no reward, I have not put my finger on any position or responsibility. The one who leads a team also divides the tasks of a team. Berisha has judged it to be me," said Bardhi.

If he fears a competition against a colleague, Gazment Bardhi briefly said "not at all." Further, Bardhi said that he has led the DP group for two years in a tense situation, while emphasizing that they have had internal conflict.

"Anyone who participates in a large family like the DP, when proposed to exercise a responsibility, should feel privileged and give their best.

I led the DP group for two years in a less than optimal situation for a parliamentary group, also because of what we had gone through, in our internal conflict.

"I have tried to live up to my responsibilities correctly. I have given my best as the leader of the group and perhaps my experience as a group leader has served in the assessment of the circumstances that the leader of the Democratic Party has made," said Bardhi.

Regarding Bujar Leskaj's statement that he did not agree with Bardhi's re-election as head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Bardhi stated that he has no comment and it is more than normal for someone to express his opinion.
