She said that everything depends on the difference between the candidates. If the difference is large, the result may come out only a few hours after the closing of the polling stations, while if the race is reversed, it may take four days, as it happened in the last elections.

Zaimi has also narrated details of the 2 scenarios for which the Kamala Harris camp is preparing.

"If the race is not close, as in 2016 when the winner was clear, they were won by Mr. Trump, so if the winner will have a big margin, a few hours after the closing of the process, the winner will be known. If the race is close, it may take four more days as in the last elections. If none of the candidates receives 270 electoral votes, the president would be elected by the House of Representatives who is sworn in in January 2025, while the vice president is elected by the Senate. These are the most polarized elections, which is one of the problems that the new president will have to deal with in the future.
