Banner war at the Health Commission, Beqaj has not yet started the testimony
Deputies of the Socialist Party and those of the opposition have continued the debates for the second day in the Investigative Commission for Concessions in Health, thus making impossible the testimony of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.
Even on Wednesday, Beqaj was brought in handcuffs from the cell where he is being detained by order of SPAK, but for hours he stayed outside the commission's work hall, not entering to speak.
The day before, the debates were about Beqaj's request to make a presentation on "Power Point", which was opposed by the Democrats, since according to them he should only make a statement. On Wednesday, the debates were about the opposition's request to call Prime Minister Edi Rama and entrepreneur Vilma Nushi, who is the main shareholder in the company that won the check-up concession, as witnesses in the commission.
Amid fierce debates and accusations, the democrats were holding photos of Rama and Nushi, while the vice president of the commission, Plarent Ndreca, distributed leaflets to his socialist colleagues with the inscription "Don't be afraid of the truth" and "Let Beqja speak".
