By-elections are being held in five municipalities today, polling stations are opening

Today, partial mayoral elections are taking place in five municipalities, Vlora, Tepelena, Berat, Cerrik and Mat.
In these municipalities, candidates from the Socialist Party and candidates supported by opposition forces are competing.
In the municipality of Vlora, Brunilda Mersini from the Socialist Party, candidate Gjergji Nika, proposed by voters, and candidate Dionis Sota supported by the opposition are running for the position of mayor.
In the Cërrik Municipality, the candidates in the race are Eligert Hima, a candidate proposed by the electoral subject "Albania Becomes Movement", Amarildo Hoxha, proposed by voters and supported by the opposition, and Florenc Doka from the Socialist Party.
In the Mat Municipality, Altin Bojni from the Socialist Party, Eduart Brahilika proposed by voters and supported by the opposition, and the candidate proposed by voters, Suzana Pasha, are running.
In the Tepelena Municipality, the candidates are Gabriel Guma, proposed by voters and supported by the opposition, and Gramos Sako from the Socialist Party.
In the Berat Municipality, the race is between Ervin Ceca from the Socialist Party and Pavlo Shkarpa, proposed by voters and supported by the opposition.
The Central Election Commission has announced that all organizational and logistical measures have been taken to conduct the electoral process under normal and safe conditions.
Voting centers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
