The state budget in the Assembly is approved with 75 votes in favor

With 75 votes in favor and 24 against, the budget for 2025 was approved today.
The country's most important economic law on the state budget was approved with the votes of the socialists. 825 billion lek are expected to be available to institutions to be spent on health services, salaries, support schemes for families in need, pensions, education, employment, security, agriculture, road transport, justice and expenses for the 2025 parliamentary elections.
How and where will the money be found?
The positive economic performance will be accompanied by a strong increase in income, as 754.6 billion ALL are expected to be collected this year from 714 billion ALL this year. Fiscal good administration, the crackdown on informality, the increase in real declared wages, economic growth, fiscal changes and price indexation are expected to be the sources from which the planned additional money will be collected.
Tourism and construction will be the main engines on which economic growth is based even for 2025, projected at 3.9%. With the red cards of the majority, all the opposition amendments (44 PD+PL in total) were rejected.
