The head of the Elbasan DP-Democrats Euro-Atlantic branch, Naim Meta, says that the city municipality has lied to the residents of Dopaj and Funar villages, as they were promised that the road would be built for them, while in reality the project will only serve the private sector.

Meta says that in the meeting, which has only the name of "public hearing", the residents of these villages learned that the requalification of the road had a different purpose and will only serve the private company that will make excavations in the rocky massif.

In the meantime, residents will not only have no choice but the area will become uninhabitable due to smoke, explosions with explosives, destruction of fauna and flora.

They sit knee to knee, flatter you, fill your mind, say what they can, fulfill their diabolical purpose and in the end "these committee delegates" pretend to listen to the residents about their problems, but the requests of the residents, enter into one hears and goes out to the other of those who are sitting on the panel and do the washing; in short (you speak, because we decide as we want).

This is the hearing with the public that took place in the village of Dopaj with the purpose of "acquainting these residents with the road project that connects the areas (villages) of Dopaj with Funar".

The residents of the village of Dopaj were very interested in this hearing, with the conviction that the missing investment would become a reality, but when they heard the experts of the Elbasan Municipality, they saw with their own eyes how the retraining of the existing segment (the track, as they say in the language popular) of the street, the project itself had a different purpose.

Residents do not benefit, even their living becomes more difficult.
Although these areas are close to the city, they have been and remain forgotten. The participants in this so-called public hearing were disappointed and declared almost unanimously that this investment for this road segment from the starting point on the highway to the end point, at the foot of the mountain, will only serve the private sector to exploit the rocky massif.

Residents with the new situation that is created not only do not benefit, but the area will become uninhabitable from smoke, explosions with explosives, destruction of fauna and flora...

So this will be the situation that will be created and "we can't do anything else", they said, "only to run away and leave in the hands of the beneficiaries our properties preserved from generation to generation".

As a member of the Municipal Council and Head of the DP (Euro-Atlantic) Branch, I participated in this public hearing and in my speech I not only gave the right to the residents, but joined them and asked the authorities to be responsible for what talk, look at the development of the area in relation to the residents and not the profit-making companies.

Ask these suffering (indigenous) people, don't remain helpless and unable to react, as power feels strong and oppresses anyone it can.

They should be convinced that the residents will not be left alone, they will have us by their side so that the investment will serve them and the development of tourism.

(Here I cannot fail to mention the concerns of the residents who have been abandoned by the Municipality and the Government, who even with jokes told how Balla came, promised them and "gone"; Gjiknuri came, promised them and "gone" now it is Mazniku who surely he will come, he will promise - of course he wants votes - and this one will also "run away"..
