In a statement from the DP headquarters, the vice-president Orjola Pampuri said that the damage caused by the Rama government in one economic year amounts to 709 million euros.

" Over 200 million euros is the debt that the Albanian government owes to various companies due to international arbitration. " - Pampuri continues.

STATEMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, VICE PRESIDENT, ORIOLA PAMPURI

A total of 709 million euros of economic damage has been caused by the Rama government for 1 year in procurements, tenders and concessions, according to the summary report of KLSH.

According to the findings of the auditors of the Supreme State Audit carried out in 195 public institutions, the following result:
- "7.17 billion ALL are economic damage"
- "64.9 billion ALL are negative effects due to irregularities"
- "2.32 billion ALL shortfalls in the tax control activity "

In total, it means that we have a damage of 72.4 billion new ALL or 709 million euros during the year 2023.

In simple words, the damage for 2023 is as much as:
– 1/6 of the government's budget income for 2023;
– 60 times more than the fund for Compensation of Former Political Persecutors for 2024;
– 20 times more than the fund for the increase of over 700 thousand pensions for 2024;
– 17 times more than the fund for Compensation with Value of Owners;
– 6.5 times more than the salary increase fund for 2024;
– 3 times more than the Economic Assistance and Disability fund.

We remind here that millions of euros per year are abused by health concessionaires who bill for more services than they actually perform, such as in check-up tests, hemodialysis, surgical assets or laboratory tests in public hospitals. The four health concessions that receive a full 50 million euros per year.

Almost half of this economic damage or 34 billion lek (335 million euros) was caused by the scheme of debts and mismanagement of the electricity sector with the water supply sector. OSHE, OST with debts to each other due to misuse in purchasing energy in international markets at very high prices and on the other hand by not collecting large debtors.

Meanwhile, over 200 million euros is the debt that the Albanian government owes to various companies due to international arbitration.

Also, over 200 million euros are damages accumulated in tenders and procurements according to the audit reports of KLSH, while the Emergency of QSUT, which cost the Albanians a full 17 million euros, has been out of order for 2 months due to negligence and mismanagement.

All this colossal damage can be avoided, only through a responsible government, which does not invest hundreds of millions of euros every year (for at least 7 years now) in inefficient and corrupt concessions according to the institutions of justice, KLSH or international reports, abuses of hundreds million with tenders and projects that never end, such as the Arbëri road, Thane-Plloçë border, etc., or in theft in Agriculture, Tourism and Processing Industry with the funds of the EU and other donors.

If all these were first used for the benefit of Albanians, all those sectors and social groups that need the most would be really supported, then every Albanian would be more motivated to live and work in Albania.

Thank you!
