"Improving Albania, an example for other countries", European Commissioner for Enlargement: I will visit in February

The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, is expected to visit our country in February. Commissioner Kos herself announced the news in her speech at the European Parliament.
She praised Albania's improvement on the path towards membership in the European family, an improvement that, as the commissioner said, should be an example for other countries.
" So far we have two main contenders, Montenegro and Albania. Montenegro has all the capacities to complete the chapter group process by 2026, while Albania by 2027. We will support them, but of course this is a difficult task. The question was asked if I see these two member states until 2028.
"If these countries give, then these countries should join us. I will go to Albania in February and I hope that these moves that it is making and all this improvement and will that this country has shown should be taken as an example by other countries, including Serbia ," she said.
