Blast to the DP! Maliqi demands Bozdo's resignation: He suffered his second

The opposition's defeat in the by-elections and the result obtained in Berat, the weakest of the five municipalities where elections were held, has led opposition representatives in this region to demand the resignation of the political leader.

The Democratic Party has appointed Eno Bozdo in Berat and according to Lefter Maliqi, yesterday's defeat was his second failure in a row as leader, so he should leave to pave the way for reorganization.

"Berat District "Alarm Bell" for the opposition and failure of participation for Rilindja. Out of 116 ballot boxes, proud that in the neighborhood where I spent my childhood, the independent candidate came first with 9 votes plus as the only winning polling center and the former Otllak Municipality the best thanks to Lapardha, Virjon and Qereshnik", writes Lefter Maliqi.

In Berat, the opposition did not field a candidate and supported engineer Pavlo Shkarpa as an independent. However, the poor result has led Lefter Maliqi to ask Eno Bozdo to resign, just as Bujar Leskaj did in Vlora.

According to final data from the CEC, the Socialist Party candidate, Ervin Ceca, won with 13,050 votes, or 83.35%, while the independent candidate supported by the DP, Pavlo Shkarpa, received only 2,607 votes.

"These elections require deep analysis and reflection. The Political Leader of the DP Berat, Eno Bozdo, against whom I have nothing personal, suffered the second consecutive failure, severe in every aspect, listing Berat this time in the weakest result of the 5 Municipalities in the race.

"To take the example of Leskaj in Vlora, to resign, to pave the way for reorganization, the unification of the DP and the opposition in the Berat Region, in order to precede the increase and strengthening of the ranks, the unification, the return of trust and hope for a sure victory in the upcoming local and parliamentary elections in the Berat Region ," continues Lefter Maliqi.
