The well-known comedian, Florian Binaj, has announced his candidacy as an independent for the local by-elections in Tirana. This move has received the support of the opposition, which has not presented a candidate of its own. But political analyst Preç Zogaj described Binaj's candidacy as part of a clear political scheme. In the studio of the "Trialog" show on RTSH, Zogaj said that the label as "independent" does not hold, since Binaj has been announced and supported by the opposition political force.

" There is no point in playing with the word 'independent'. Independent means that someone creates a civic movement without a political party. Here we are dealing with a political scheme. It is a scheme that someone has created and everyone has found suitable. There is no more room to hide behind a finger. He is a super political candidate of many parties because he was announced by a political party. He is the candidate of the united opposition, which has united around him ," said Zogaj.

He emphasized that such a candidacy has the potential to seriously challenge the Socialist Party candidate, but warned that continuing to be labeled as "independent" could harm public perception and the electoral outcome.

" If you don't know how to play this scheme of independents well, which is impossible to be independent, people will think that 'you left it at the door' and it will be negative for the electoral result itself. They will perceive you as if you are all hiding behind your finger, the DP did not find a candidate and now we have the independent and if he wins we share the success, if not no one will say I lost. We must put aside this game with the 'independent', he is the opposition candidate. The political candidate mobilizes more ," added Zogaj.
