"Rama and Berisha, together against SPAK?!" Kulluri: They have a big

SPAK and justice reform seem to be the main topic of the campaign for the May 11 elections in Albania. The Prime Minister on one side takes the banner of creating a new justice system and the Democratic Party targets it. 3 months before the elections, a survey by the International Republican Institute showed that 76% of Albanians support SPAK.

This issue was discussed on Wednesday evening in Debate by Alba Alishani. Edvin Kulluri, part of the Right 1912 party, stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama now has the opportunity to show whether he is sincere in his support for SPAK or not, since according to his information, internationals have requested the extension of SPAK's mandate beyond 9 years.

He says that there is a possibility that Rama and Berisha could come together again against SPAK and this time it would be a "very big hole".

"Rama is neither the architect nor the creator of SPAK. We will see if he is sincere. The proof is now, the extension of SPAK's mandate. There is also a request from the international community to extend SPAK's mandate from 9 years to a longer period.

In my opinion, with a 51 percent chance, Rama will not give 78 votes or will play some game with a part of the opposition deputies, not just the DP. This will be bad news for Albanians. The DP has declared its vote against, even calling it a criminal organization. If Rama and Berisha dare and come together on this issue, I think they will open a very big hole after the May 11 elections.

The request that came from the internationals was that it be done before the elections. There were people at the embassy and this conversation took place, I am giving this as information. One of our MPs was at the meeting. This is either done now or it is not done because then it is not known what kind of parliament will be. The Duma's mandate also expires in December.

"The cost here is that you will go against 70% of Albanians or you have to go for 70% of Albanians. This is a big risk, but Berisha has taken this risk because he is not interested in winning at all," said Kulluri.
