"Too late for the primaries", Berisha briefly responds to Gaz Bardhi: It is a statutory obligation, it has nothing to do with the mayor...

Sali Berisha has responded to the statement of the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, who said that it is too late for the primaries.
" There is some truth in the concern expressed by the leaders of the DP, time is tight, but this does not exclude that it is a statutory decision, it is not a decision of the president.
"The president is obliged to implement the statute. Why did this happen? This came from the vote of the diaspora. Today we have a very large concentration there ," said Berisha.
A day ago, in an interview with Voice of America, Gazment Bardhi expressed concern about the primaries in the Democratic Party, saying that it may be too late to properly carry out this process.
" My concern arises from the fact that first of all we are very late for this process. So, we are very close to the elections and we will have to wait, there are no approved rules yet and we will have to wait for the rules and I have said this several times publicly but also within the party institutions, that the rules must be such that they do not create instability in the party, do not create clashes in the party because this would not be healthy three months before the elections.
"So, my concern is only related to this part because in the end, each of us members of the Democratic Party has no interest in the names of the deputies ," said Bardhi.
