Diaspora vote, Celibashi updates data: Over 90 thousand ballots have been sent, distribution begins today for Tirana, Korça and Lezha

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, declared today that the process of distributing ballots to Albanian emigrants has begun, who for the first time will be able to vote in the parliamentary elections from the countries where they live.
In a statement to the media, Celibashi announced that so far around 90 thousand envelopes have been sent, representing over 30% of the total number of voters registered outside Albania.
"Today we have started preparations for sending ballots to voters in the Korça and Lezha regions, while in the second part of the day we will also start for the Tirana region," said Celibashi.
According to him, Italy, Greece and Germany are the three countries where the largest distribution of envelopes has been carried out so far, due to the high number of Albanian immigrants living in these countries.
