The member of the Presidency of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Myzafer Elezi, has reacted regarding the serious event that happened in the city of Tropoja, where one person was killed and another was injured. Through a post on Facebook, Elezi says that this event takes place in the middle of the tourist season when the city should be a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
According to him, it is clear that the current government has repeatedly failed in its main task of establishing public order and security for citizens.
As security experts, Elezi further asks the government to strengthen police patrols, especially in tourist areas, impartial investigation of criminal acts, increased resources and training for law enforcement, as well as transparency on the part of the government for every step it takes in the war. against crime.

Dear citizens,
Today, Tropoja was shocked by a terrible act of violence where one person was killed and another was injured. This tragic event occurs in the middle of the tourist season, when the city should be a safe and welcoming place for everyone. This tragic event is just one of many cases of serious crimes that have rocked our country recently.
It is clear that the current government has repeatedly failed in its main task: to establish order and public security for the citizens of Albania. The inability to control the crime situation and protect people's lives is unacceptable and shows a marked lack of leadership and accountability.
The citizens of Tropoja and the tourists who visit our country deserve more. They deserve to feel safe on the streets, in their homes, in public places and during their holidays. It is time for the government to take responsibility for this unacceptable situation and take immediate and effective measures to restore order and security in our city.
On behalf of the Democratic Party - Euro-Atlantic Democrats, I request from the government:
• Reinforcement of police patrols and their increased presence in touristic and crime-sensitive areas.
Thorough and impartial investigations into this criminal act and all other acts of violence, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice so that they receive the punishment they deserve.
• Increasing resources and training for law enforcement to better deal with criminal situations in the country.
• Transparency and accountability on the part of the government for every step it takes in the fight against crime.
The safety of Albanian citizens and foreign tourists is non-negotiable. We will continue to raise our voices until we see real and lasting change.
