Ylli Pata: Why is DP afraid of Ilir Beqaj's words?!

What happened today at the Sterilization Commission of Inquiry created a serious political precedent. After the DP, which leads the commission, did not let Ilir Beqaj to express himself as he wanted.

But why didn't PD let Ilir Beqaj speak his truth? There are two reasons. Either PD was afraid that Ilir Beqaj's truth could contradict that of the opposition, or that truth could destroy the opposition's cause.

Herein lies the whole point. For a cause when raised and built up with arguments may be defended however the arguments may come against it.

In 2002, in an investigative commission against Edi Rama as mayor of Tirana, which was created as a result of the Nano-Berisha pact, Sokol Olldashi, who headed this commission, did not stop Rama from speaking, but had his own arguments to oppose him.

What happened today with Beqaj is a political scandal of the opposition. Which considers anyone investigated by the majority to be guilty, but their leader, Sali Berisha, is called innocent. This is a terrible fable, very terrible. Even shameful, since after all Ilir Beqaj came today in handcuffs from the cell to talk about a commission led by Albana Vokshi.

Think for a moment, can Sali Berisha come to an investigative commission for the properties given without bid to the grooms by the prime ministers? It is not even conceivable that Berisha would do this, since he does not know this justice.

In 2016, when Taulant Balla was the head of the commission for CEZ-DIA and released the entire large file, Shkëlzen Berisha refused to answer, and the opposition media brought out the "Peza" case, which although it could have connotations, did not connection with CEZ DIA.

What is happening today is that Ilir Beqaj is not only under charges, but is under arrest in prison. The opposition is afraid of this, when at the end of the day, the arrested person has the right to speak about the accusation, as Sali Berisha says, but deviates and refuses to speak in parliament and court.

This is a double standard that gives the public that this opposition wants its opponents in handcuffs but does not accept that its leaders are in handcuffs. So today it is in the minority.
