November 9 elections lowest turnout in history/ Rama: No worries, DP 'ran

After the first intergovernmental meeting between Albania and Italy, Prime Minister Rama, invited to 'Real Story', commented on the elections held on November 9, where the 5 municipalities without mayors were convincingly 'colored' pink.

Rama said that the participation in these elections was high and that there are no concerns regarding the elections. Rama commented on the situation of the DP, saying that it ran away from the field and left several independent candidates and even actors, where voters confirmed the 'normal' socialist candidates.

Sokol Balla: You have just regained five more municipalities in the November 9 by-elections, I have two questions about this, does the low turnout in these elections bother you, I speak as a politician, not as an electoral person, you are fine since the majority is not harmed by the turnout?

Edi Rama: For me personally, the turnout was very high in relation to the atmosphere and in relation to a day overloaded with rain, so the general atmosphere was the atmosphere of a pair of elections where there was no competition and it's the same as saying why wasn't the stadium filled when there is no match, why would people go to the stadium when there is no match, but when it is a training session, in fact these elections were a training session, they were even one where the teams trained without the presence of the coach and the technical team, so the players came in, trained on their own, played on their own, won on their own because they had no one to face. Now why should people participate in these elections en masse and how can the stadium be filled. I consider it, no I consider it but I say that for me they participated a lot, for example in Berat there were 11 thousand or so voters while on May 11 in the municipality of Berat there were about 13 thousand.

Sokol Balla: Not even 20 thousand in Vlora.

Edi Rama: Yes, Vlora has the characteristic of having lower participation than other places because Vlora either has Barcelona or does not, so beyond joking, I have no concerns about this because these were elections where I did not participate in any election meeting, I personally and in no one else's, the candidates simply did their job and why did they not have opponents, with whom? The Democratic Party ran away from the field and left some supposedly independent candidates, even took actors who played the role of independent candidates and what would people do in that theater that took place so that our candidates were confirmed, normal.
