Analyst Arben Meçe says that the Democratic Party's proposal for voting with foreign documents by immigrants is absurd.
In an interview with ABC News' "Newsline," Meçe said that the opposition is seeking to disrupt the security system.
"The opposition's movement is normal for it to happen, it is its right, in its own favor. These movements are expected now. The issue that is under debate is mainly related to identity cards that are out of date and secondly to the voting of persons in the diaspora who have foreign passports.
The first is related to expired identity cards. We are faced with the fact that a large majority of citizens have not renewed their identity cards. So far, the number of those who claim to vote is not small. The opposition is always the institution most interested in having the accessories for security elements.
"If the ID card has expired, they are controllable in our system, to identify the person, the opposition with the most absurd idea, proposes to include people who are out of control in the vote. What is this asking for, why is it so insistent?" he stressed.
