Analyst Preç Zogaj, commenting on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, the Constitutional Court's decision to suspend local elections in Tirana, stated that it demonstrated sovereignty and that if elections are held in the capital, the one who holds them is an adventurer.
"The Constitutional Court has made several decisions that have challenged the president and the government, especially before 2013 when there was an authoritarian court, and this can be considered minor compared to those presented by the government of that time.
I think the Court has made a weighty, very important decision, it has proven sovereignty. In the final analysis, with debates, with interpretations, it is not a matter of 1 and 1 making 2. We must take it as merit.
You cannot challenge the court by going to the polls.
"It is very difficult and whoever does it is an adventurer because we have to follow the path of the law. In a few days we can understand what will happen. There will be no elections in Tirana and the Court of Cassation may call the dismissal unfair," said Zogaj.
