Parashqevi Simaku admitted to psychiatry, psychology: To be treated according to her wishes, not there! Mërtiri: Exposure in the media aggravates her problems

Singer Parashqevi Simaku has been hospitalized in a New York psychiatric hospital for two weeks. Her psychological condition has worsened after a meeting with her son Luk, where she is reported to have suffered a psychological crisis.
This topic was discussed today on the 'Studio Live' show on Report TV, with journalist Arbër Hitaj, where psychologist Marsela Lekli stated that she should be treated according to her wishes and not in psychiatry.
'Everything in the media should be stopped, people with mental health problems should not be exposed to the media in any form, because it affects their emotional state. She should be treated according to her wishes and not in psychiatry. She has gone into depression because she does not accept that she is divorced, she was not treated in the early stages and it escalated later ,' she said.
Psychology stated that a person only goes to a psychiatric hospital if they are in a very serious psychological state and are aggressive.
'She has lived away from her family for many years and the separation from her son has led to a serious psychological and emotional state. I don't know what happened to her life, but her standing at a train station showed that she was waiting for someone there, maybe the son who would come to pick her up. America is a big country, people with mental health problems are endless, and homeless people too.
Her case was used more for clicks. I don't know how an individual can be admitted to a psychiatric hospital like that, because someone who has crises and aggressive behavior can be admitted there. She could get through it with a little help, but if she is at that level, she has had serious mental health problems. I know how politics are in the US, but when a person is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, you are at the last level of mental health. But, the best cure to get through all the problems is the love that her son and family will offer her. I believe the biggest blow came the day she met the son because she had been waiting for him for years,' she said.
For sociologist Ergys Mërtiri, the exposure in the media aggravated the problems that singer Parashqevi Simaku has had.
'I can say one thing that is a well-known principle and principle that those who have mental health problems should not be exposed in the media. I think they did not help her by using her to make a show and this is the ugliest way of using a person. Those who dealt with this issue were interested in their own public image, while she needed psychological support and I believed that she was harming her, and that I believed that she would go so quickly to this point. They made her sing, they put rings on her hands, this was an ugly show,' she said.
He said that the Albanian state should intervene by providing assistance.
The Albanian state should help her get interested and maybe pay for her treatment and find a solution after rehabilitation. She herself wanted to stay out of the public eye and this should be respected,' he said.
