England hit by injury wave, coach calls up more players ahead of Albania match

England coach Thomas Tuchel has lost the services of two players he wanted to see in action in the matches against Serbia and Albania, in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The "Three Lions" have secured first place and a ticket to next year's event, so the coach is planning to see new names in action in these two challenges, to have a clear idea of the team he will take with him to the USA.
However, Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope have been withdrawn from the squad due to injuries sustained at the weekend against Newcastle.
Meanwhile, Mark Guehi has been included in the squad, but the Crystal Palace player will be under the observation of doctors who have not yet decided whether he will recover in time for the match in Tirana.
Thus, coach Tuchel has today invited two more names to England to complete the squad. Chelsea's Trevor Chelobakh and Manchester City's James Trafford have joined the "Three Lions" and will be available for both matches.
