Barcelona beats Celta with hat-trick from Lewandowski, goes -3 from Real

Barcelona led by Hansi Flick achieved an important 4-2 victory over Celta Vigo at "Balaídos", ending a series of four matches without a win on the road and inflicting the Galicians their first defeat after five consecutive victories.

The match started at a high pace. Balde saved Barcelona with a goal-line clearance, while shortly afterwards the Catalans won a penalty after Alonso's handball on Fermín López's shot. Robert Lewandowski was accurate from the penalty spot. Celta reacted quickly and equalized through Carreira, after a quick counterattack.

At the end of the first half, Rashford provided a wonderful assist for Lewandowski, who scored Barcelona's second goal, but the joy was short-lived: Borja Iglesias equalized with a powerful shot from the 16-yard line. However, in the extra minutes, the talented Lamine Yamal scored with a right-footed shot to make it 3-2, restoring the Catalans' lead at the break.

In the second half, Barcelona completely dominated the game. Celta were forced to defend with the whole team, while their friends circulated the ball with calm and patience. In the last minutes, Rashford sent a perfect ball from a corner kick and Lewandowski headed in his third personal goal, completing the 'hatchet'.

Although Frenkie de Jong was ultimately sent off, this did not dampen Barcelona's well-deserved victory, which benefited from Real Madrid's draw with Rayo Vallecano and is now only three points behind "Los Blancos". Celta, despite their good form in recent weeks, remains in 13th place in La Liga.
