Berisha: The opposition platform will be placed in front of the prime

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a statement to the media, announced that the opposition will place its "Platform of Resistance" in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, as part of a political action that aims, according to him, to remove "the most notorious corruption duo in the history of Albania", Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku.

Berisha explained that the platform will have a symbolic character and will serve as a reference point for the opposition's demands towards the government. He emphasized that its placement in front of the Prime Minister's Office is not accidental, as both the Prime Minister's office, as well as that of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy are located there, describing them as the main ones responsible for corruption affairs in the country.

According to Berisha, the platform will be established on certain days, mainly on Thursday, and will serve as the first step towards organizing a broad national protest. He announced that a special group within the DP will determine further details of the opposition action, while warning that after the establishment of the platform, the opposition will move to the phase of mass protests throughout the country.

Berisha's speech

Question: Regarding the protest, have you set a date? Will you be on your platform in front of the prime minister's office on Thursday?

Sali Berisha: The platform in front of the prime minister's office has two purposes.
First, the ultimate request for the removal of Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku.
There are people who think it should be done at the Ministry of Energy. It is the building that houses the prime minister and the deputy prime minister. In the prime minister's office building there is a sector, an office, but not just an office because it also has staff installed there.
So we are placing the platform there to demand the removal of Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku, the most notorious corruption duo in the history of Albania.

Question: Will the platform be installed and not removed, or will it be on certain days?

Sali Berisha: The platform will be on certain days, mostly Thursdays, but after the meeting it was left to a certain group to determine.

Question: A date for the protest?

Sali Berisha: We will absolutely move towards a national protest, but first of all, these measures will be decided and then we will move towards a national protest.
