It is now official, David De Gea returns to football! The Spanish goalkeeper has passed the medical tests at Fiorentina and signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
The goalkeeper had been out for more than a year, as his contract with Manchester United expired in June 2023 and he could not find a suitable project for the following year.
De Gea was convinced by Fiorentina's project, as the parties have reportedly agreed a one-year contract with a salary of €1 million plus bonuses, with an option to extend the salary double to 2025-26.
The former Atletico Madrid and Manchester United goalkeeper will turn 34 in November and has 45 caps for Spain.
